Captain Evan P. Howell (1839-1905) was born December 10, 1839 in Warsaw, Georgia. In 1861 he married Julia Adelaide Erwin (1843-1906) in South Carolina. Julia was born January 17, 1843 in Erwinton, South Carolina and was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William Erwin. The couple had seven children: Clark, Albert, Rosalie, Evan, Ida, Effie, and Adelaide.
